The ravages of salt-laden air and high winds led Fisher•Bullen to restore a major stained glass window in this Victorian seaside church. The massive window, standing 5m tall, 4.4m wide and weighing 0.45 tonnes, is a highlight feature of St. Edmunds Church in Hunstanton.
Our photo shows the repointing which was carried out to the walls around the glazing. Works to the glazing areas included complete re-leading, repairs to the stonework casings, forming new lead sills and the quarries were all cleaned, polished and reset.
